THIN LIZZY - Black rose / A rock legend
[LP]    LABEL: UNIVERSAL
22.00EUR

Official UNIVERSAL remastered releases on 180gr vinyl with the original artwork. Following 1978’s incendiary live album, Live And Dangerous, Thin Lizzy’s ninth studio LP had a lot to live up to. Thin Lizzy and Phil Lynott have collaborated with Irish guitar hero Gary Moore on a number of occasions, replacing the errant Brian Robertson, 1979’s Black Rose is the only Lizzy album to feature Moore throughout. A No 2 hit, propelled by three singles, ‘Do Anything You Want To’, ‘Waiting For An Alibi’ and ‘Sarah’, it was the last Lizzy album that was produced by Tony Visconti. Midge Ure, who would later replace Moore on the Black Rose tour, also co-wrote ‘Get Out Of Here’ on the LP’s second side. The album closes with the epic ‘Róisín Dubh: A Rock Legend’, and is seen by some as the last ‘classic’ album by the group; a musically varied, but highly accomplished set.
