The late Tommy Bolin, who died in December 1976, was a truly gifted guitarist probably best remembered for his brief tenure in Deep Purple. In the late '60s he was a member of ZEPHYR. That band's self-titled 1969 album offers a mixture of hard rock, jazz and blues. Bolin's guitar-playing is excellent, making ZEPHYR well worth discovering. Bolin also co-wrote five of the original album's eight tracks. In gatefold cover.
