Alongside the 13th Floor Elevators, Shiva's Headband, Bubble Puppy, Golden Dawn and Janis Joplin, BOB BROWN & THE CONQUEROO were pioneers of Texas' '60s psychedelic scene. Though most of their peers went on to release albums, and became well known (or even world famous) acts, The Conqueroo only released one 7-inch (late '60s) and the posthumous LP 'From The Vulcan Gas Company', which was issued in the '80s. But now here's a next collection of the band's blues-based, fuzzed-out highlights, pressed on vinyl and including a free CD-version with two extra cuts. The LP also offers liner notes (a.o. by frontman Bob Brown), an inner sleeve crammed with memorabilia from the time, and a wonderful front cover illustration by old mate Gilbert Shelton. Only 300 copies pressed! (Please note this Bob Brown is not the folk muisician who recorded for Richie Haven's Stormy Forest label.)
