Limited edition of 400 numbered LP's on red vinyl. Gatefold sleeve. Stack Waddy were a legendary Manchester long haired four piece who were active intermittently for only a few years in the last forty years. The members were Mick Stott, Stuart Banham, John Knail and Steve Revell; Steve Revell was later replaced by John Groom. Taking their name from a character in MAD magazine, Stack Waddy came together at the end of the summer of 1969. They often performed Beefheart and Zappa numbers live and their own material and song titles were just often made up on the spot, during gigs and recording sessions. These previously unheard recordings, 13 tracks, were intended for release through John Peel's Dandelion label, but ended up getting shelved. Now at last fans can hear the 'Lost Dandelion Jams' in their full, and deliciously messy, hippie-proto-punk glory!
