Johnny Carr's solo album 'Zoo Drummer.' Fans of 60s rock will recognize Johnny Carr as the drummer of the Zoo, an Anglo-American rock band active in Greece from 1964 to 1967. 'Zoo Drummer' combines rock, surf, instrumental, country, jazz, and a bit of 'Helleno-rock' in the tracks, all composed and played by himself -- guitars, bass, drums, the lot. The album has earned praise from the Diskorichio website as well as the New York-based Garage Hangover site which recently featured a 15-part story of Johnny Carr's career with the Zoo, a career that inspired the creation of many later Greek rock bands.
