Musically 1970's “Thundertree” was pretty impressive. A Minneapolis band whose album transgresses psychedelia and progressivism.
Thundertree does a pretty fine job performing a balancing act among several different styles. Psych driven hard rock with fuzz guitar, vocal harmony, psych effects, and a few prog moves. The medley on Side Two is full of variety and interest throwing us into a prog fantasyland …in 6 parts.
It's now becoming a minor collectable and is harder to find.
The emphasis is very much on psych guitar and organ, and generally the album bristles with new ideas and innovation, featuring all original material.
